I’m listening to @Gargron@mastodon.social’s interview on #Decoder rn, it is quite good. Although I’m surprised he didn’t mention #Hometown or #GlitchSoc when asked about #Mastodon forks.
🇳🇱
@realcaseyrollins Are you really surprised... really?
@realcaseyrollins when has gargron been anything other than self serving though?
@freemo Honestly, IDK. I’ve never judged the guy’s motives, except in his initial decision to not integrate quote posting
@realcaseyrollins Clearly i have,and i dont find his motives su tle personally
@colinsmatt11 @realcaseyrollins
Depends how you define malicious i guess. Im sure he thinks he is doing the right thing, and im sure he conviently ignores the factthati his mind the right thing is always synonymous witb his self interests
He comes off as snotty brat in a position of great influence rather than someone actively trying to make other's lives worse.
Aside from the fact that he cant break federation as he doesnt control it... its not i his self interest to do that so why woukd he?
Previously made statements by me are just guessed based on my personal experience with both assholes and malicious actors.
I think I do require more information about him to have a proper conclusion, but maybe he's both.
@colinsmatt11 @realcaseyrollins
Destabalizing the fediverse clearly works against hisninterests and there is no reason for him to break federation. In fact he alsready breaks federation with groups he doesnt like on his personal servers (not saying he is wrong for this)
@freemo I just don’t pay attention to him tbh
@realcaseyrollins yea thats probably the right choice ;)
