Did Life On Earth Arrive From Space?

Tardigrades or ‘water bears’, might just be the best space explorers we know of. But, could they actually be the reason for life on Earth?

@stux No.. if life came from space it would have to have been single cellular, that much I think we can say with certainty.

@freemo Indeed, Tardies died after impacting faster than 0.9KM/s :blobcatgiggle:

@stux Well its not about that, though that is an interesting point as well... Its more about the fact that we know based on the way genes are conserved and mutate that multicellular life must have evolved from the single cellular life we have here on earth, not the other way around. So any seed of life must have been a single cellular ancestors.

@freemo But this video is not about life on earth via space from waterbears :blobcatgiggle:

My bet is or thermal vents or an astroid indeed but that would be 50/50 i guess :blobcatgiggle:

@stux thermal vents make the most sense. Precursors may have come from an astroid, but I doubt the life was created from it directly.
