To be fair I still know people today who think all sorts of crazy things about how microwaves might be unhealthy. Most of them refuse to even own one and of course will never eat food cooked in one.
My guess is its a lot fewer these days when you were young though.
@freemo @AchesAndPains I think they might be unhealthy but the damage is likely negligible
At our house we even have a microwave that I'm 95% sure is improperly shielded and I'm still not worried.
