@purplepadma Ha, you wont... No one in the tech industry will hold it against you for not being on Twitter.. .in fact quite the opposite, the very opinionated ones will likely hold it against you and everyone else wont care.

@purplepadma Commercial entities use it to advertise into the void.. But as a research scientist myself (and usually the one who does the hiring/firing/promoting) I can assure you, it does absolutely nothing to advance your career, and if it does anything it might even hurt it these days.
