I see many people here saying that #Israel is being too heavy-handed in their approach to fighting #Hamas, as they cannot kill the terrorists without also killing the citizens in #Palestine that they are using as human shields.
To them I posit a question: how would you propose that #Israel defeat #Hamas? Is there an alternative way to beat these terrorists that I’ve just not seeing?

@realcaseyrollins Israel has already commited mass genocide, stolen a nation from its people who were already there, and commited long-term acts of terrorism on the palestinians for multiple generations now....
They should start by apologizing and giving the land back to the people who were there first, that would be a nice start.

I don’t think the stealing of land justifies rape and murder, but that’s just me.

What int he world would the state of israel have to do with christianity? The natives who lived there took good care of the holy city for thousands of years.. wasnt until israel showed up and started taking everything away there were problems.

That may be, but there is no logical reason for it as a christian. If anything you should be buddy buddy with the Muslims, they beleive everything in christianity is true (even jesus). They are closer to christians than jews ideologically.

That said I think there’s a perspective of, the Jewish people are people that God has loved and preserved for so long, so we should care about them too.

Correct, the musslims do not beleive jesus was god, only a prophet for god... the jews however beleive he wasnt even that much, they think he was just a crazy old coot with a god complex... so which of the two are more similar to you, the one who thinks jesus was sent by god and speaks for god.. or the people who think jesus was a crazy person?
@freemo @icedquinn They both are equally off when it comes to Jesus, but I’d say that Muslims are closer. Still, when it comes to doctrine, not only do their own texts contradict each other, but much of Islamic ethics are incompatible with #Christian ethics
That may be a lack of understanding on your part... They agree with all the christian ethics, and I cant think of one that is in disagreement at all.. do you have an example? In fact they explicitly agree with all the ethics stated int he new testament that I know of.

I think there’s stuff in regards to the #Jihad, which is also against #Christian ethics (although ironically Christians themselves used similar ethics during the #Crusades)
You are refering to Aisha. She is not part of cannon musslim tradition (as in she isnt in the quran).

This rumor is about the same as the rumor around Mary being a prostitute... its speculation at best.
A Jihad is a difficult personal battle with some spirtual reward.. for example the proper word for a musslim getting over a drug addiction or overcoming some other struggle and finding spirtual growth from it would be called a Jihad.
How is any of that against christianity... it sounds like you were just really REALLY misinformed.

They don’t believe that Jesus is God though. That’s the whole point of everything that He did on earth tho, and why the Jews killed Him in the first place. A Muslim would refute this.
