the flipside of "you have no right to decide for your children REEEEEEEEE" no one admits is that this replaces parents who in the _overwhelming majority_ of cases will instinctually protect their offspring vs. the weaponized bullshit state which is in the best case scenario interested in cheap worker drones of the future - more likely in more sinister plots involving meat grinder wars and the like.

@bonifartius Have to disagree.. No one is saying the "weaponized bullshit state" should control your children in place of parents... People are suggesting (usually) that children have a fundemental right to self-determination and bodily autonomy... on this I agree.

@freemo @bonifartius bodily autonomy - it is when a person works, earns his monwy for life and lives in his own home independently. and while he lives under parents' roof and sits on their neck - he is nobody and has no opinion.
many people never getbodily autonomy in their life and always depend on others.

No it is not.. The idea that should you be out of a job you loose the right over your own body is absolutely absurd.

> and while he lives under parents' roof and sits on their neck - he is nobody and has no opinion.

Only if you have horrible cruel parents, and even then all they have the right to do is kick you out, not violate your bodily autonomy.

> many people never getbodily autonomy in their life and always depend on others.

Totally unrelated. Me having the legal right over my body has nothing to do with if other help me or not.
