#Infowars is somewhat coloring #BibiNetanyahu’s words here, even though this is probably what he meant.
So, one state solution? Seems inevitable to unfortunately 😮💨
#Palestine and #Israel hate each other and seem to have incompatible values to boot, but it would have been nice for a two state solution to work.

A one state solution is the only ethical solution. Anything else is theft of land.

That's actually my take because as long as both #Palestine and #Israel exist, there will be war in the region, and war is bad for civilians. But, I'm surprised that you agree as well.

In a one state solution you would have a single government and palestinians and israeli would be one voting group in a single nation. Since Arabs outnumber Israel this would effectively be giving palestine back to them.
Obviously a one state solution that comes through complete genocide is not acceptable.

I also don't think that #BibiNetanyahu would annex #Gaza if it meant giving more power to the Palestinians.
Plus, this presumes that #Israel would give Palestinians the same rights as Israelis in a post #Gaza state, which I'd love to see but I'm not sure that we'd get.

Yes, in a one state solution the palestinians and isralis live and are citizens of one nation, as such they would all have the right to vote togetehr.
So if you are talking about "palestinians not living there" then you arent talking about a one state solution, you are talking about genocide. Generally palestinians being mass murdered out of existence is not what is meant by one state solution.

Not condoning that BTW, just wondering what you think the difference is.
@realcaseyrollins@social.freetalklive.com
Strictly speaking there would be one state left if you mass murdered the whole of palestine and annexed it. From a technical standpoint it would be.
But thats not what anyone means when they say a one state solution. It seems like an absurd use of the term to me and very misleading, but technically accurate.

Israelis outnumber Palestinians significantly.
I was wrong about that BTW. Although I’m still presuming that either pushing the Gazans out or killing them will be a major part of annexing #Gaza.
From a technical standpoint it would be.
But thats not what anyone means when they say a one state solution.
Interesting. That take is new for me as well. I thought that a one state solution is just one that leaves one state behind, not one that leaves one state behind AND makes most of the world happy.
@realcaseyrollins@social.teci.world
You arent calculating the palestinian citizens who are displaced and not physically in palestine.
There are 14.3 million palestinian citizens throughtout the world total, of that about 1/3 are currently residing in palestine, the rest are refugees or immigrants in other lands displaced by the war but still palestinian citizens.
Compare that to the 9 million or so who have israeli citizenship, and the fact that 20% of those are pallestinians as well, at least originally.
So yea palestinian citizens outnumber Israeli citizens by quite a bit.

@realcaseyrollins@social.freetalklive.com
What do you mean, they are citizens of palestine. in a one state solution they would return since they are no longer displaced.
You have to understand palestinians left because their homes were bombed and their land taken.. not because they wanted to. Once the land is open to them again they would return since they are no longer refugees and have their land back.
@realcaseyrollins@social.teci.world @957dd3687817abb53e01635fb4fc1c029c2cd49202ec82f416ec240601b371d8

Plus, if the current state of #Israel is in charge, as they will likely be, I don’t know if all those displaced Palestinians would necessarily be clamoring to head over there and be ruled by them, especially if they will lose rights under that regime.
