Everything is or becomes bad in a bad container. We just have to realise this is by design.
What is not bad is heading this way anyway since it's by design with government and IT'S companies fighting while Gov takes % and grows itself using others for it's own profit and skimming technological fruits and the control from repacking it, and simply closing the doors after.
Government is often treated as one unified block, but generally you see a lot of opposing factions within it that roughly divide into the more authoritarian, controlling side attached to all kinds of lobbyist strings, and parts where people and human values still matter and good regulations and support are thought out.
We should embrace that latter group, as without our help they are sure to be on the losing end. We shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water :)

Right now taking money from government / banks seems already enough of the overall false platform for *everything* on top to be biased / corrupted / 1-sided / selfish in the wrong way and not coming out of that (unless you change mentalities of people slowly perhaps but people will always be scared of each other).
Perhaps undeniably slowing or stopping existing things in that container is a sure way to slow or stop it's progress while looking at this at the real core problem and breaking the headlock we're in.

The whole existence of life (money) and then the managers (gov) seems totally unavoidable for anything other than more of the same same and honestly people and things just get twisted and taken advantage of inside that (especially progress)
The mentality of taking their money and manipulation needs to be adjusted. Or something reducing us further away from being *under* the same money-or-die survival ultimatum ( this needs adjusting as root cause of everything) and to find a new way of decision making for everyone (not money based) -
This decision making needs to be solved to get out of the default hypocrisy, lip service and giving work and % to wrong people. To work for ourselves as much as possible even within existing scenario... but it's hard enough getting messages to get some real talk / 1 to 1 from "ya'll".
People often prefer the anonymous bad system.
