Because giving up is a death of your soul...
That's the TLDR why people don't give up.
People are prepared to die for what they believe in
(their self or nationality).
Their self-sovereignty is also included often as individuals or attack on individuality - so although most people are perhaps correctly generalising as nations (more than anything) it's really not just national representation of identity as Ukrainians or XYZ, but fighting of such bigger forces who rely on their mass to keep damaging countries.
People feel they have to fight such entities whatever the cost for Nationality yes, but perhaps also for individuality (though maybe all governments are copying the wrong ways).
While it might be true everyone might go back to internal fighting and subjecting dominance internally when threat situation goes away, anyway this respect for individuality (on all levels) is my personal point to add in here along with other points why to fight until the end.
Don't accept individuality, then you're fucking with others - don't stand for it! Much like empires as a business we need to eradicate before it eradicates us. End of point!
On a brighter note and reference to the picture (if you're wondering why it's there), playing chess enough gets you the experience that:
- there are many games you suddenly win from continuing a bit more down the line to revaluate
- literally being down and 'playing for a laugh' or 'sarcastic play' you still get some surprising position, damage and turnaround wins (I'm not boasting I'm just also surprised!).
Even with less on the board sometimes other balances kick in (like not getting in the way of yourself) that makes people free to do better (focus, relax, think etc).
Failing that, who wants to live in the shit we're in?
(0 replies I'm sure we're just happy to fight and die for something, and not just debt in a bank account)
Oh ok one more... can't end on that reality!...
So some psychology
( forgive the psychology and guessing of one type of perspective which might not be yours )...
Often because it's hard to watch ( dying etc... people suggest giving up. There are many ways to die (including living under capitalism or socialism or google engines and Facebook people etc!),... but the 'on-lookers' feeling might forget that and prefer to 'live' under such suppression, It's poor, abusive and negligent to keep things under such conditions for so long.
Those who may find it hard to watch (if you've been around boxing rings or fights, or loud noise then it's more normalised or brain controls it knowing how things work) then either you need practice or see that other people have been ready for this and signed up (questionable but many play online US games for a reason every day)
So without being personal it's normal for external people to feel such comments... but as a person, country or unit, it's fine like chess again (sorry, not over-glamorising it!) but there is finally a fight or some 'having of principles' or morality etc... ok some might take advice but then fuck off because it can be one's own duty to take on these things on and needs to be fought here and now NOT when you have already given-up the fight to think humanity will follow...
it's brutal chess in many forms, can only hope people get better and grow their mindset without using it against each other!
