Philosophy people know is a threat or mixed bag, and that's why they have avoided it or not been willign to run the distance as it involves the re-evaluation of everything...
@ArrestJK I agree but at the same time many know and see it as a high level threat or danger to their structure or program. Basically people know and have avoided, personally or by design leaned it toward other things (edited those discussion out, only left what is less meaningful or less 'harmful' in this way).
So a big part of the population, not just the ones running things, but parents and upwards, in schools or anyone with position or profession- I think they know exactly how dangerous and mixed it is talking about philosophy, and the sovereign or unique perspective nobody can take away from someone (big threat to any other program). So if it's true as I see it, by-passing or stopping to talk about it has been by design agreed or unsaid with people knowing they don't have the answers or want them or the will to uphold it (and thus change a perfectionist/robotic/fascist system" (excuse my bad words and choose anything kind of binary). If what we think and want is in it's own realm / our own mind / a different law of physics / a kind of ethereal shared existence or whatever, then basically all of that can be summarised as a threat!
By design (especially when they realised students are more clever than adults) they would have had to deal with this to keep order / hierarchy / their pride / honour / own focuses or even keep their position! Every parent knows this I think (or every parent I've questioned at least)
It would be endless / exhausting / unsupported by system so 'for benefit of kids' it's avoided or fear or being different / black sheep.
I'm slightly also thinking of things like money also where the philosophy is heavily assumed even if not said and people have made it up almost from inferences (like pride in working, owing people for life, not paying it forward for free) and instead suffered from hunters / group preying on individuals from banks or creation of debt itself etc (and silly people that don't get it)... that it's immoral basically lol... but in the same way ignored to our own detriment (this example shows how bad we can be at not teach what it actually is or is doing (emptying our energy and out pockets and planet into other people's and cheating us at the threat to our own life, "money or you life" kind of this as before ) but people instead complain lots and don't want to talk philosophy or even about anything more than 5mins!.... but then end up complaining and getting stimulated about the next scandal or how it's cheating people numerically. A decent logical moral service just doesn't exist and so I see this as part of it or good example! I do fear I've mixed things but to summary money does mix things well to almost numb the brain or render pulling any string making it worse - so measurably we are beter without it or just less but we probably need to reset or move it on from the hands that have no idea OR know very well what they do and don't even talk about it...
"Just get a job, don't worry about those things" those kinds of remarks... many awkward parent have mark my card even with my reminder "it's for the children right?" )
So by a few measures and assuming somewhat freedom is at the heart of this IS CONSISTENTLY NOT THE PLAN... :) (said or unsaid) ...it's often known and just been edited out or "it's not our job" - like someone has to give you a job first to do it or that freedom someone is going to pay for...
It's measurably never paid for and always some bigger scam at hand... so inversely opposite (what is still left in has been sterilised by "well-to-do people" as Bertrand Russell says at @6.50 who have changed over time but ignorance or avoidance consistent (no real change or challenge or intention)
The question of money is close to me and it's similar to a uneducated philosophy or what has just been left out or replaced artificially or just not self-cultivated and tested...
and from that life and children are born... A bit tangential but the "To be or not to be" for me comes back to this "To exist or not to exist" in this kind of start point today or level of understanding... "To really live or not to demote living (and just follow)"... ?
Anything welcome in reply or from yourself. Thanks
