Hello @SirBemrose, I was told by @voidzero that you are the keeper of the NA stream. My show (culturewar.radio) is live for 3 hours on Sunday nights at 9pm CST and has been airing for over a year now. I've been a monthly donor and listener almost since the beginning. I've had numerous members of the NA community on the show too. Can I please be added to the lineup? If so, what do I need to do on my end? Thanks.

@wjmaggos @voidzero Hi, I gave your latest episode a listen, and I'm afraid we can't use it in its current form. The content and information is good, but the production needs work. DM me if you'd like me to go into detail and offer some suggestions. Or e-mail to operator at noagendastream.com

Yeah I agree - last one was far from ready but it can be your thing-
just thought the expectation for others to trawl somewhat and what they get in return as a question mark for when interview speech starts is a big ask...

This post aims to help you or give tips - but also you might not need or have time so no worries.

I actually like many bits in between and even thought about editing it myself (let me know if you don't mind me editing it and even putting it with my other non-commercial collections online).

So I'm willing to help you mr. maggots :-) if you don't mind some suggestions

Having your thing and certainly do it your way is good- it is actually ok and not an ultimatum here. Just don't expect others to test that much of their time on each podcast, though that might be a reflection of them too not being good marathon runners / having a busy life unlike me!

I suggest these things in variety of strength:

- Cut the dead time during any technical problem, summarise what is wrong... all towards these to points
- save the data (maybe you have to make 1 or 2 final versions (so not saving) but audio is small enough to get past any rambling even unwanted audio)
- The time for others is also important (in what you cut) so if they listen to 5 podcasts it might save xhrs <--- just as an example - only #164 = I lost 1 hour basically trying to listen for the speaker and not the news or music... so in 1 podcast only after 1hr the speaker came on I felt like I was glad but just for the first time as it was 'willingly' test but not for 10's of podcast which I am capable of listening / using download for but not if 3hrs each with less relativity (to content more than mainstream media or titles I deliberately don't look for).

I think you or everyone might not need to measure in 'time' so as alternative work-around (if not above) could be solves with just put time-points so that people can jump to interview ("speaker after 1 hr" even in filename) as a lot of people get their news elsewhere too and don't need it or actually find it unrelated and for that reason inappropriate - give them a choice to skip - doesn't take much work either...

Waiting through music and not knowing when it starts is testing both as content / time / hearing more about world's problems (which is actually bad for me or others of a different aim- who don't want to more more of the same and actually focus only on solutions- and still get wind of other stuff anyway).

This all can be helped... choose your weapon of choice, cutting audio or writing time-points.

SUMMARY
Only listened to one podcast so could be all wrong... :o)
But anyway good for me to write what is good practise using your audio as example as I re-edit and purify my own posts for different reasons (multi-person value). I hope it was useful for you.

If you don't have time I might consider re-editing the audio bit I like, if you like and don't object and if you don't mind I put it on my website:

@freeschool @SirBemrose @voidzero

thanks for listening and the advice. do anything with it but retain the context of arguments please. to be as fair as possible to all views. that's why I do it live and don't edit anything. but in light of not having edits and the unavoidable problems of doing things live, I desperately need to do timestamps. the primary goal is a weekly hang where deep convo about what's going on can be had. the weekly news and music fit "my agenda" but are secondary.

@wjmaggos
Yeah I agree - that's why I was happy to have it the way it was already because it flows in your life rather than any efficiency concept or product... it's part of life and keeps it easy with that in mind! Nice - I value that.

Ah yeah timestamps was the word I was trying to think of!

I felt like I was heard which is great. Thanks!

If you want to speculate about things / offload any work / send a wish-list, then feel free - with a caution that perhaps that I'm quite fast / responsive ! Thanks again...
