I think people get lost in follows (or it's hard to manage) and now I do notifications (click the bell) and interact based on that which is rather more live and direct, doesn't lose context and instant than browsing afterwards trillions of posts (although sometimes do it but like once a week)- how do you guys have it?
As a side note coming from Karl's profile after looking at the spectrum hashtag and this post (if you click this post you will see that post), I came to your profile @feoh since he mentions you and then I saw you had the Atari800XL also... so anyway there you go for Mastodon- +1 following you both as a result!
And here is a animation I just made for RetroComputing Group

Back to the following numbers Karl, I do unfollow also a lot and wonder how your 'engagement' is (from your own guesstimation) as numbers are a bit overrated sometimes and so do you interact with so many or is it more eye-candy spectatorship (all is good but I guess I lean towards liking more participation for the world)
Thanks all.
@freeschool @feoh I don't interact with 1000 followers. Surely, there are lots of bots among them and most humans don't care to interact. But the follower number is a rough indicator and in my case, the main point is that Mastodon exceeded Twitter rather quickly in interaction, followers and so forth.
