BELOW IS JUST OPTIONAL GENERAL WRITING ABOUT THE NEW NORMALISED 'NORMAL'
I think it's fair to assume in this increasingly upside down (or backwards) world that's it's getting nearer 100% than not (I judge this by who is controlling us and doing almost everything for profit only, caring being almost non existent or 100th on the list) and that those people ARE uncaring / unstable in a normal looking way.
The people what or not ok with the world are those measurably the one's dealing with it / suffering / not being listened to or served (as people or even customers of state who pay them endlessly for EVERYTHING AND NOTHING).
Almost like an accumulation of ignorance falling on people head, people feel it and gets so much over their ability to deal with it.
From those in power and businesses not caring it's no surprise! Life has become this new normal.

To be sane in this new 'normal' as the shit-show continues seems to ask too much of people's conscious (they can't ignore it all and shouldn't perhaps) and it's not like it stops, it seems tangibly increasing faster while some of us try desperately to either deal with it (and it's force upon us structurally or systematically) or some who can increment whatever good between each other from lack of any other resource or recourse.
At the end also perhaps personal liberation is from 1-to-1 and then harmonising the whole human collective this way - a long but potentially fruitful road back to ourselves and each others. (The mini book / pdf is called "journey to yourself"
