The biggest reason I've been on Twitter so much again recently is for keeping up on news about what's going on in Ukraine. That's sadly an area where Mastodon doesn't come close at the moment.

Can I ask what interests you about what's going on apart from hearing the odd thing - so I'm not saying 0 news or don't go to Twitter but generally what is it for you that you feel the need to 'keep up on news'? Thanks
