If you didn’t know, Clearview AI is in the business of collecting faces online, storing them in a searchable database of now 10 billion+ faces, and selling access to that database to the police.

This happens without knowledge or consent of people whose faces are collected.

Basically "Free" makes you the product... apart from a few good technologies and places like:

Mastodon, XMPP, Torrent, Tor type stuff,,,"

ABOUT SELLING ON PEOPLE'S FACES TO GOVERNMENT / OTHER DATA:

I guess the selling doesn't need additional consent because initially accepting the contract involves open-ended clauses effectively making the user to agree to further sub-scenarios of that stuff which starts by saying stuff like:
- "We reserve the right to" and
- "By click 'Agree' you agree that we can..."
everywhere in the T's and C's
apart from these technologies WHICH MAY HAVE ALSO ISSUE BUT MUCH LESS:

Mastodon, XMPP, Torrent, Tor type stuff,,,

FOR NOW THEY ARE BEST I KNOW OF... BUT STILL DON'T UPLOAD LIKE IT'S OK!
