"You" as in you (plural) or talking like from a story narrative (3rd party style / above the story perspective)
Though "one" does help a lot and explaining which you you mean ocassionally (singular / individual or % mix even to that person AND generally others) but anyway good to say it from you perspective like "in my experience people are like..." xyz :)
●also as listener asking which one the speaker means helps give them chance to explain in more detail and gradients. Perhaps best in person, because in text can open too much scope or meaning...
●In law "you" or similar I think has 2000+ meanings (there is a book for each word I saw in some video somewhere but you (neil) maybe know better) :)
