A big bank (SVB) in the US collapsed today, and some fear it will cause a massive recession.
I'm in the mood for politics, so I ask:
What if we lived in a world where people lived sensibly within their means, did not pursue destructive short-term wins, and worked only for advancement of creativity/science?
We'd still make money.
I'm a CEO too, a small one, of a small company; I like money. BUT, I don't go nuts, and I know my limits. I do what I do (computing, electrical engineering) for fun.
Nice people, not quite there in reality...
@libreleah Not to discourage the mood - That thinking is of the innocent / nice people and added to that probably the misunderstanding that the nature of business / finance is a cut-throat place to start and where these thoughts don't belong ...and only nice / rich enough people or those distanced outside of that think it can exist as the same approach is applied from innocent supermarket buying to education or what is not say and done. Just minibar or battle with same mentalities. The further out the more you might think it's possible over looking root.
The nature of the taking ov£r everything or 'all your base$ are mine' approach hasn't gone away and even in normal people needs incredible mind-power to limit or do what you suggest.

You think this is all possible without all the bad roots in science. No way. The old guards don't play that and even the good as you maybe completely ignorant/bourgeois/cat-simple
/long list of not knowing what it takes and basically leaving it to others to get into same mess we're in.
Ignorance mostly and fear of communication. Without more practice and even practice of fighting amongst ourselves, you're short.
