Have you ever killed a person, either by accident or on purpose?
I might, but not know about it. I could have infected someone with an infection that I was carrying, but not aware I was having.
An alternative is that by consuming certain products (e.g., burning gas to heat my home), wars have been fought over this natural resource, and I am partially responsible for people who died in that war.
@ABScientist Deep reply that... but I think more direct-death is inferred here as a person and less indirect "shoulders we stand on" type thing (which isn't irrelevant but deliberately not in scope here and just for fun... which I measurably assume! And can always be confirmed by OP).
