Maybe someone can explain this. I"m being serious, not sarcastic. What is the fascination with gossip about the personal lives of celebrities? Marriage, divorce, etc. What exactly is the fascination? For some reason, the example that popped into my head is a relatively older one - Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Remember that? I bring it up ONLY as an example.
What's the fascination? Is it escapism? A bonding experience with other people over a drama being played out in public? What am I missing?
