On November 4th I decided to go read-only on Twitter until things settle down at least...I'll still be lurking there, doing DMs and such, but we should give Mastodon a chance
I spent last night trying to convince some non-technical people to come to Mastodon, but they aren’t convinced—it’s still too fiddly for them. Hopefully Mastodon will streamline a bit over time
@benjedwards I'm keen on a quality community, perhaps the slight barrier to entry helps as the people who come over are the ones who are willing to put the 5 minutes of time it takes to understand the idea behind Fediverse.
I started to see Twitter as something akin to Walmart and MAstodon something like a fine farmers' market. Both can coexist.
