Have a cart full of Chromebooks but aren’t sure what digital tools you can use? Or why? While many use Chromebooks every day, it never hurts to review some amazing digital tools. If you want free, no-cost apps, this is the list for you. blog.tcea.org/five-free-tools- #Education #Chromebook #EduTooter @edutooters #EdTech #GoogleEdu #TCEA

@mguhlin @edutooters I find the Linux container very useful. If you have a relatively powerful Intel based Chromebook and you are familiar with Linux then in my humble opinion a Chromebook is a phenomenal daily driver for most tasks.

@gpowerf Agreed! Add #GNU/Linux to your #Chromebook, and you now have a totally full-featured device that can do quite a bit more than what it was designed for. Of course, the benefit of #Android apps being able to run on Chromebooks gives you a lot more functionality, but there's nothing quite like running Ubuntu on a Chromebook. What's your favorite distro for a Chromebook with an i3 processor and ample RAM? @edutooters blog.tcea.org/running-android-

@mguhlin @edutooters I run the standard Debian distro which is fine as I normally run a Debian/Ubuntu based distro on other devices. And you are right, Android apps can be very useful too.

Even for games, there's a lot of Android games you can enjoy on a Chromebook with a larger screen and a controller.
