Does anyone know there's a list or database that can filter both by games on #GFN and games that #Epic Games has given away for free in the past? Manually adding the games to GFN is very cumbersome! #Gaming #Cloud #CloudGaming #FromMastodon
@Granite GFN’s biggest issue is how cumbersome it is to use. Gaming performance is great, but signing into external accounts and managing games isn’t. This was Stadia’s huge advantage over GFN, Stadia just worked and was super intuitive.
@gpowerf @Granite I was *just* having this conversation with @beyondperil last night after our livestream. On one hand, we shouldn't be crying over spilled milk; on the other, it's easy to see what Stadia got *right*...and was largely ignored by gamers. I have used the GFN feedback, several times, to recommend they look to what Stadia did correctly and try to emulate that, including removing friction for casual gamers to sign in and just friggin' PLAY.
@lovecrafttapes @Granite @beyondperil friction and little paper cuts is what stops me from using GFN more. I still have my founders account but I have contemplated closing it often.
@gpowerf @Granite @beyondperil I think once you get used to idiosyncratic interface (and how it can reset, after certain updates), it's no different than playing on your PC...and no less cumbersome. But! Without the installs, large GB updates, and with *way* better graphics (than my paltry video card, anyway). If they can streamline the login process, it will be faultless.
@lovecrafttapes @gpowerf @beyondperil Honestly for me, especially with steam, my login issues are fairly minimal. It's just the lack of Epic Games Library import. Steam and Ubisoft have it worked out. Epic games just hasn't for some reason.
@lovecrafttapes @Granite @beyondperil agree, it isn’t seamless or intuitive.
