Tbh I won't boost without an image description, because I want my feed to be as accessible as possible, but it seems like it would be exhausting to go around individually telling people that I'm not boosting their posts.
Like, if I'm going to take the time to do that, I may as well write a description myself and put it in replies or share the image with alt text and attribution to the original poster.
Or just...not boost the post and go on with my day.
