@gpowerf for real. I’m having limited interaction as there isn’t really an easy “Switch account” option so it’s logged in to a cat rescue I help out with for social media.. it definitely has a slightly rushed feel, I’m not entirely happy with the old Meta data shlurparoo, and there seems to be no way to get a feed of people you *actually* follow.. but it’s fascinating to see how it’s going!
@wiredfire People love to hate Meta, but Meta does some cool stuff :) LLaMA for starters! And the Quest products are pretty neat as well.
And their ideas of the Metaverse aren't bad despite that everyone loves to make fun of them.
@gpowerf @gpowerf I agree with many that there are some genuine concerns about Meta’s approach to user data, but I have a Quest 2 (which I’ve not played in far too long 😭) which is absolutely fantastic.
I don’t think they’re genuinely evil & they DO do some very cool things. They also give a lot of people what they want, and that’s not inherently bad. I’d prefer they were more open about data usage though.
@wiredfire I don't want to do much there with my existing Instagram account because that's some super old personal thing. I'm more interested in the users joining the Fediverse :)
