@noelreports does Russia still use UAZ 469s? Coz one of those would be really really really cool as a daily runabout :D
@chowderman @noelreports I was actually thinking of running a UAZ body with Isuzu or Suzuki mechanicals, given that the abandoned stuff is obviously wrecked and Russian car parts just don't make it here.
I can see the attraction and had considered one, but on contemplating the lack of sealed bearings etc, decided against the faffing around.
I am sure you could pick one up somewhere, they are made all over the world:

You know how to tell which cars are the Russian ones don’t you? They are the ones stopped at the side of road with the bonnet (hood) up.
