The Fall of Stack Overflow: SO has lost around 50% of its traffic. This decline is similarly reflected in site usage, with approximately a 50% decrease in the number of Q&A, as well as the number of votes. The AI bots hit SO hard for sure, at least that is what I think. I still SO as top answer in Google but Bing is upto no good. LOL. observablehq.com/@ayhanfuat/th

@nixCraft SO is a particularly unfriendly site, so it is understandable that whenever there's any alternative people will explore that alternative.

SO or something like SO will always be needed to explore more difficult problems in depth, but if you can solve your issue without dealing with the wretched hive of scum and villainy that is SO then why not?

@bornach @nixCraft It's a freaking horrible place, I'm a bit of a Joel Spolsky fan, and a bit of a Jeff Atwood fan too. But boy, did they create a hell site!

[Fireship] sums up the AI-facilitated decline of Stackoverflow pretty well here
