We've all seen the old Wild West signs reading "Leave your gun at the bar", I'm starting to think that gyms should become phone-free zones "Leave your phone at reception". There are too many people filming or looking at social media on machines now. Gyms have become truly obnoxious places.
@solarisfire Maybe it's the type of gym, I used to go to a rusty old gym that had zero glamour and that was fine, but it closed and moved too far. So I joined a mainstream gym chain and it is awful!
Are people working out or hanging out? People watch videos on their phones, filming themselves, tripods in there sometimes! I really don't want to be in someone's live TikTok feed, or anything like that.
@gpowerf My deaf buddy hits the gym once or twice a week. He can't listen to stuff while sporting, but he can watch netflix on his phone. For some people there's no alternative.

@gpowerf Yeah, I just do strength workouts at home and run outdoors... Have zero interest in gyms these days!
