So the bird app on my phone finally updated itself to something awful. Not sure what pushed me over the edge - was it the horrible "X" branding? Or maybe that it unilaterally decided that I wanted dark mode? Either way, it doesn't matter. Uninstalled it. This is a far nicer place to be.

@gpowerf heh yeah, it almost doesn't feel real does it? I guess it became real for me the moment that nice blue bird turned into that horrible black X...
@stevoooo It became real for me, when third party clients stopped working :(. It’s bizarre! Such a massive brand just “killed” like that - not even the American and British auto-industries destroyed their legacy with this much gusto.
