on Friday, a #mentor of mine told me how #brave I was to leave my #tenured position - how it #inspired her to rethink the next season of her life. I share because it meant SO much to me. It's also a reminder that #mentorship is not unidirectional. Thx Beth 💜

@Waterbarnes kudos to you. My academic friends keep asking if I ever think I might go back. And the answer is maybe, but under a whole lot of conditions and special circumstances and with real pay. Loved it, really missed my students this weekend, but nothing else. Bittersweet memories
