One of the products I think is really helpful is their probabilistic quantitative precipitation forecast, which allows you to see precipitation by percentile or a map of the cumulative probability that precipitation will be more than a certain amount.

While this probably isn't too accessible to the general public, to me if often relates much more directly to what I want to know. The only problem is that it only seems to show a national-level map, whereas usually I'm only interested in a small area. I could have sworn there was a version with interactive zoom, but now I can't find it for the life of me.

It's possible I'm just conflating the liquid precipitation forecast tool with the winter precipitation forecast tool.

The latter does have an interactive zoom feature. On the other hand, it's hard to see why you'd have a zoom for one and not the other.
