Serious question. Is it some kind of Mastodon norm to tell people what they should write about?

In the past 8 hours I’ve had people

1) ask me not to write about GPT 3 because they aren’t interested in it,

2) tell me to put discursion of ChatGPT behind a content warning

3) tell me to write “#ChatGPT” instead of “ChatGPT” to make it easier for to block,

4) scold me for engaging with ChatGPT, because they considered an unethical technology.

1) You are entitled to write about whatever fancies you, and we are free to decide if we read it or not, or if we continue following you. Like everybody else.
2) Well, it seems at Mastodon content warnings are used for many things, even topics far from controversial or disgusting. Dunno. I'm still learning the rules here.
3) is good, would help people interested in GPT3 to find your tooths, and people uninterested to avoid it. A nice thing to do.
4) I think you can't silence it; this is too big. If it is evil, it must stopped now, so people must know; if it doesn't, no reason to stop talking about it.
