Involving myself in the sweat and infarction inducing horror of British Airways’ horrifically terrible mobile app has made we wonder why there is no equivalent of the #razzies for apps? My suggestion would be for an annual #Crappies Awards ceremony. Worst design. Worst UX. Greediest In-App Purchase Demands. Most Endless Ad-Loop (I’m looking at you, CandyCrush) Most Pointless Function. I’m sure between us, Mastopeeps, we can think of 10 or 15 categories.

I'd really love to see this each year.

I propose 2 new categories:

- Most Nagging Notifications, that's a clear one.

- My main pet peeve: Greediest Asking Permissions. Why a Sudoku app has to have access to all my accounts, biometric sensors, camera, microphone, location, all my files, Internet and everything else? Can't imagine any GDPR approved legit use for that.

Want an app 100% free of crap? Look for one that asks no permissions, and not only you will have no ads, but usually no purchase demands and no notifications too. They're hard to find, but real gems.
