@KatM I always feel the same way about my code, especially the stuff in my personal repos.

"Look, this code is, by definition, *not* production quality. It's a good example of what I can slap together in a few hours, or an afternoon, as a prototype. That's why there are 60 different repos doing 70 different things. By the time we finished productionizing it, it looked so much better."

So many people can't see the iterative nature of creativity.

Contracting someone is mainly guided by fear, so people usually is looking for your flaws. Showing unfinished work tends to give them the impression that you are unable to finish things, and everything that is not polished is the best you can do.
Only the most knowledgeable people is going to be able to evaluate your work otherwise.
