Today someone told me they teach machine learning with excel. In a 2yr course where people actually pay 20k€ to attend.
Like, k-means with excel.
I just didn't know how to respond. To my ears it sounds like someone painting their house with a toothbrush. I mean, you could do it, but why would you want that...
@rhgrouls john foreman has a book along these lines. it’s useful for understanding the algorithms in an intuitive low code way
@d8aray yes, I can see how it might help some people that are afraid of writing code. That said, I think #julialang does a great job if you want to take the leap to programming.
For example, https://github.com/mossr/BeautifulAlgorithms.jl really impressed me, some algorithms are so elegant and simple!
