Seems like a good editorial about the #catholic scandal https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2018/08/19/why-am-i-still-a-catholic/ Being a Catholic, I tire of people trying to tear down the Church to promote their own agenda. They appear short-sighted in what Catholicism offers. OTOH, I really wonder if the institution (not the tradition) can reform itself - most vested interests and institutions cannot (which is why I'm a cynical libertarian). But its not just a matter of corruption or inequality here - its the face of true evil. The Church had better think about the long-term consequences here. (and no, this is not a time for liberals to start demanding a whole new liturgy or other radical changes that have nothing to do with the scandal).
