@Miaourt Yes! Sorry for being unclear, this is a site for helping one learn Japanese. It's aimed at folks who are at least N5 or above (know hiragana, katakana, basic kanji, simple sentence structure).

Honorifics don't really translate so directly into English all the time. Whether there is a hint of the honorific in the English translation depends a lot on the character, the setting, the mood, and of course the honorific used (and maybe some other factors).
"Chan" is a tad endearing, and in this setting and for Chiyo, always translating it as "little" is a tad overboard. The reason I included it in the last comic is because Ms. Yukari was about to passive aggressively compliment Chiyo on her being a "brat that can study".
So I decided to let the endearing language shine through a little more than I normally would to highlight that contrast (because that's the whole joke, really - she's speaking in an endearing way and then suddenly throws in a kind of inappropriate dig at Chiyo being smart).
I can rewrite the note on the prior page to clarify that for future readers though, good question!
