islamophobia does not exist. of course people will be afraid of a religion built upon hatred, why wouldn't they? think about it, i sure as hell have never heard of shit like baha'iphobia or flying-spaghetti-monster-phobia.

@bctnry you've never heard of the term Baha'iphobia, or you've never heard of them being persecuted? I think you're right on the former count (I've never heard it called that either), but not on the latter (it certainly happens).

@khird ah yes, I mean the term. What I was trying to say is, whenever someone accuses other people of being "islamophobic" for whatever reasons, it always feels like it's like saying they're homophobic, like saying that they're being irrational, which I strongly disagree. I would say it is very hard for (at least) atheists not to develop a certain degree of fear especially after learning about what kind of doctrine Islamic people follow and what kind of brutality those doctrines have led to.
