Is this the end of the days of big tech companies paying #researchers to do cool stuff? I'm a bit worried because that was my #career plan 😬

@mathieualain My parents went through this as chemists at Eastman Kodak back in the day. Dad started out as part of their general research group, and that crew got reassigned to product-specific work. So, you’ll still have a career, but maybe not as much say in what “cool stuff” you research. As an industrial R&D chemist, myself, I can say it’s not a bad gig.
