In the Summer of 2018, my husband and I did a cross country roadtrip from San Francisco, California to Bar Harbor, Maine. Driving up to Maine we stopped by the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord Massachusetts outside of Boston. Here's Henry David Thoreau's gravestone for #TombTuesday.

@eatthelove Next time you're in the Boston area (preferably not during the winter), I highly recommend a visit to Walden Pond. Named with typical Yankee understatement, a hike around its perimeter is around 2 miles. It's a beautifully clear glacier pond, and up a hill into the trees on its shore, you'll find the foundation of his house in the woods, with its hearthstone still present.
