Out with the old, in with the new.

The watchOS 10 updates are finished (a few beta-bugs aside, filing a few more FBs tomorrow).

* Total redesign featuring vertical tab views with colorful screens and copious alpha layers

* New global app search like on iPhone

* Tons more!

@lorihc Will do! Meant to get to that today but have to finish writing up a sample project for these ones. Thanks!

(I also may or may not have created a marketing page with some more details on the watchOS 10 changes in CardPointers 5: cardpointers.com/v5/watch/)

@lorihc Here you go:

FB12489828: NavigationSplitView + TabView + .containerBackground(for: .tabView) never changes the color when selecting subsequent items, it always uses the first color selected.

Still working on a simple project to repro the X button not working in a sheet, hope to have that one shortly.

Thanks for your help!

@lorihc Ohh setting that to for: .navigation DOES fix that, but then you totally lose the elegant transition when swiping between TabViews.

@emcro This was definitely working for me in the SOTU demo, so will have a look at your code in the FB.

@lorihc thanks for looking into it, fingers crossed it’s an easy fix for one of us :)

@emcro I think it’s us, and might be fixed already. Double-checking.

@mattkoonce @lorihc ahh perfect, thanks for letting me know and happy to hear I’m not adding any new work to anyone’s plate. Hope you both have a great July 4th!

@lorihc Finally was able to find the cause of the modal sheets not dismissing. It’s when placing .searchable on a nav stack vs putting it on the list. FB12547154 — hopefully that helps someone else in the same boat by fixing the root cause :)
