Iirc , it started with child predators seeking out minors on the platform and the easy data breach used to single them out. Then it brought to light general privacy concerns as well as it being managed in china despite being hosted locally.
Either way, I'm not a fan of a platform that peer pressures people to do stupid things for the favor/entertainment of others. But to each their own.
