fuck, I have so much manual, tedious and nerve-wracking backing up to do, when I need to reinstall this PC's OS, soon. it's long overdue a fresh format, but, yikes
anyone got any advice about the whole backing-up and formatting, nuke and pave, thing?
i've obviously done it before, plenty of times, just always worried and anxious that i've *missed something*, you know?

I just cp -r ./* /sdg/backup/
If it's a small group of folders/files, you may be able to back them up to a private repo. I used to do that for some stuff.
