@freemo
I should really finish getting my degree...
@lucifargundam Maybe.. honestly I tell people to worry less about degrees and more about learning about things intimiately. If you understand a subject like an expert how you got there wont matter for the most part.
@freemo
I get that a lot but asofyet many companies I've looked into prefer a degree to get hired on directly instead of a contractor...
@lucifargundam The degrees are just there for show :) You can submit a job without even a mention on your resume about a degree and if you have a good resume showing your skilled they wont even ask about it, trust me.. I dont even know why they put it on requirements honestly, no one is checking or cares for most jobs..
They care about what you **accomplished**.. if you built good software, or published good papers, or did anything to show your an expert on a subject then thats all they will really care about no matter what the requirements say :)

Strip club surveyor and super model lotion and oiler.
Despite their high popularity among data scientists, however, we rarely get such work.
In reality, that depends, a lot of them are professors or other wise in the academic field. In the commercial world the industry thats most popular would be "Big Data" right now. Job title varies, a lot. They can work entirely on documentation in tech projects, sometimes they are a developer,, architect, or team lead type roles as well are not unheard of.
