We also need to look at the flip side of the coin - namely that criminals love this privacy thing. Just look at who buys the most burner phones.

I'm not a big fan of enabling criminals, be they drug dealers or human traficers.

@MaryPot @Julia @Mer__edith the buyers are those who have the most resources (=criminal networks), not those that need it most. Talking of crime is not the actual problem, it is doing crime. Repeatedly doing crime, to be clear.
