Ok fediverse, wading into stuff I don't know. I have the impression that if the results of an analysis (or code or something else for that matter) looks pretty and well organized and such, people tend to accept it as being valid, much more so than something that does not look pretty. If this is true, I'm pretty sure this phenomenon has a name and is googlable.
So, any hints or links for me?

@karinlag it certainly has a name, but at this point I can't think of it. Just wanted to point out that it's also a somewhat reasonable bias, because clarity of communication hopefully makes it easier to spot flaws. Then there's always the possibility for well planned manipulation in the message

@mapto No doubt it is reasonable, but IMO it breaks down when people go outside of their oev discipline and don't know how to judge the results. Then I suspect the prettier it is the less they will try to check the results. If that makes any sort of sense.
