@Remittancegirl with respect, I don't think you understand the point. In Bulgaria people know owners of social media are rich. That's pretty much last they heard of the topic you have so close to your heart (yes, to you it might appear unrelated, but people don't even care when elections in the US are due). Try to understand them, you don't know anything about the struggles in Bulgaria either. And Bulgaria is part of the EU, other places have even less to do with Western politics. In many countries politics is a topic that could get you into trouble. Why would you disconnect from friends for things at the other end of the world
@craftycat @Remittancegirl try to find a fuckin tesla in Bulgaria. You really have no idea, do you
@craftycat @Remittancegirl hello again! I came across a very interesting thread that I think might help us understand each other better by reducing the personal stakes:

I really hope you share at least this view with me.
@mapto @Remittancegirl we've had Teslas imported into Sweden from all over eastern Europe due to the strikes here preventing them from being made, and Bulgaria's first public Tesla charging station was built in 2020, which would mean that there were enough cars to warrant that investment. Also, if that's not obvious, the entire population doesn't need to own a Tesla for the brand to be everywhere.
