2023 was a good year for offshore wind in Europe!
A record 4.2 GW of capacity was completed and final investment decisions were taken for 9 GW, pointing to a further acceleration in the coming years.
Auctions for 40(!) GW expected this year.

@Sustainable2050 wouldn't it make sense to judge good from bad not based on rate of growth in the context of the past, but on rate of closing the gap in the context of (future) need. I realise this is more difficult and probably meaningful only after a certain threshold, but it appears to me that we are overdue with this threshold
