Dear native English speakers who review papers: it is ok to point grammatical mistakes, it is not ok to assume they mark any form of "laziness" because we "did not care enough". English is NOT our language, we have to make a SPECIAL EFFORT on top of our science
@marind And if you hire an editor, it makes more economical sense to do that after the peer review process anyway. But reviewers should probably be told about such plans ahead of time, ideally by the commissioning editor.
