In the (unlikely) event that there's a mass migration from Twitter to the Fediverse, Elon Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter could be the worst waste of wealth ever recorded.

@atomicpoet I think a total migration to the Fediverse is unlikely, but a significant increase in the size of the Fediverse isn't.
I do think a Twitter collapse at some point is likely. Musk couldn't run a small forum without running it into the ground.
