How do I know capital is coming to ActivityPub? Because I've personally upped my investment during the past month -- and plan on allocating even more spend.

And I'm not even close to the richest guy using/developing ActivityPub.

If you're wondering where my capital is going, it's to:

1. Testing and hosting instance(s)
2. Paying devs for their dev work (yes, the Fediverse is mostly FOSS, but still)
3. Exploring how other tech can work with ActivityPub

@atomicpoet In some ways, capital already came. To host your own instance of Mastodon, Pleroma, PeerTube, Pixelfed, etc., you need to buy a server from a hosting provider and then configure the server yourself, or buy from something like masto.host to have them deploy the server for you. Now it's not just the instance, it's about who hosts the instance.

Some software is way easier to self host. If I ever start a personal instance it will be one of the more lightweight ones like gotosocial.
